چکیده

Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, also known as the pine wood nematode (PWD), which causes wilt disease is one of most devastating diseases affecting forests globally. G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are crucial in many biological processes and serve privileged points communication between cells surrounding environment. α-pinene has been found to play a role combating infection, colonization, early stages pathogenesis caused by B. xylophilus. In this study, we investigated molecular characteristics functions GPCR gene Bx-srh-1 Fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) was performed determine spatial expression patterns The results indicated that expressed intestine subcutaneous tissues J2 J3 juveniles spicules adult males vulvae females. RNA interference (RNAi) used analyze function, examined xylophilus under stress. involved reproductive ability pathogenicity xylophilus; levels significantly increased after exposure for 12 h, they peaked at 48 h. Silencing may therefore lead reduction reproduction pathogenicity. These demonstrate related feeding behavior, reproduction, pathogenicity, resistance process

Pathotypes of the Pinewood Nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus.

An isolate of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus from Pinus sylvestris in Missouri infected and reproduced in 2-3-year-old seedlings of P. sylvestris and to some extent in seedlings of P. nigra. Wilting, however, occurred only in P. sylvestris. B. xylophilus isolated from P. strobus in Vermont infected and reproduced only in P. strobus seedlings. P. taeda seedlings were resistant to both of these isola...

Characterization of Bacteria Associated with Pinewood Nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus

Pine Wilt Disease (PWD) is a complex disease integrating three major agents: the pathogenic agent, the pinewood nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus; the insect-vector Monochamus spp.; and the host pine tree, Pinus sp. Since the early 80's, the notion that another pathogenic agent, namely bacteria, may play a role in PWD has been gaining traction, however the role of bacteria in PWD is still unk...

Within-wood Spatial Dispersion of the Pinewood Nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus.

Pinewood nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus (Steiner &Buhrer) Nickle, spatial dispersion was determined in Scots pine, Pinus sylvestris L., bolts infested with the pine sawyer beetle, Monochamus carolinensis (Olivier) and in bolts without M. carolinensis. According to Taylor's power law and Green's index of dispersion, nematode dispersion was aggregated in both sets of bolts. The degree of ag...

Identification and Characterization of a Dual-Acting Antinematodal Agent against the Pinewood Nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus

The pinewood nematode (PWN), Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, is a mycophagous and phytophagous pathogen responsible for the current widespread epidemic of the pine wilt disease, which has become a major threat to pine forests throughout the world. Despite the availability of several preventive trunk-injection agents, no therapeutic trunk-injection agent for eradication of PWN currently exists. In t...

MicroRNA Discovery and Analysis of Pinewood Nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus by Deep Sequencing

BACKGROUND MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are considered to be very important in regulating the growth, development, behavior and stress response in animals and plants in post-transcriptional gene regulation. Pinewood nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, is an important invasive plant parasitic nematode in Asia. To have a comprehensive knowledge about miRNAs of the nematode is necessary for further in-dep...
